(More customer reviews)I grew up with enameled cast iron. In fact, I still own and use my mother's 40 year old huge dutch oven. I bought this for a smaller and less cumbersome version, but the enamel wore off in two spots after only two uses. Yes, I followed all directions and recommendations. It proves the saying, "You get what you pay for". Although the piece does perform well, I should have spent more money on a proven product.
